Losing a Parent

For Anyone Who Has Lost a Parent or Will Lose a Parent.

Came across this wonderful article on hellogiggles.com so perfectly written regarding the loss of a parent.

I lost my Mom suddenly almost 6 years ago.  She was killed in her car when a man ran a red light and hit her.  To have someone present, happy, and healthy one minute and then to lose them the very next is so devastating.  Just like the author of the article, I realized that in one fell swoop not only did I lose my best friend and my biggest fan, but I didn’t even get to say goodbye to her.

To my Mom, I love you and miss you.

Painted this the other day.  I used to love making art when I was younger and this was the first thing I’ve done in years.  Simple.  Bright Colors.
